7. November 2006:

In the last entry I mentioned some of the advantages of the later models. In all fairness I think I better write about the disadvantages. I can sum it up in two words: the eighties! This, the ugliest decade as I call it, offered a lot of ugliness to the world and some of it rubbed of on the Morini Factory. Apparently, they found it necessary to to give their beautiful machines the edged look that was so typical for the period. Obvious is the square head light on my 3½, but also the mirrors and indicators have this inharmonious shape.
This has to be rectified!
The indicartors are on thier way by post. It's the small LED-indicators behind and the handle bar indicators in front from Kellermann. The head light is put on hold, because I do not yet know if I want, or rather what kind of fairing I want, and the head light will have to be built into the fairing. Same problem with the mirrors. Aesthetically, I would rather be without, but they are indespensible when overtaking and not the least for looking out for cops ;o)
I've also forgotten to mention that I have got ahold of a steering damper - it was missing on the Morini. There's no bracket with the damper, so once again I have to fabricate something.
